“We were cruising along with our wedding planning in the summer of 2019, making progress on the mile-long checklist when my friend Jenny (who had gotten engaged a few months before me) and I decided that it would be fun to do a vision boarding session with Janet Tanguay. Janet had two customized vision board kits prepared for Jenny and me and a huge stack of bridal, home, and other types of magazines that she thought may suit our boards. With the large, white piece of construction paper in front of me I started cutting things out. There was still so much I was unsure of, so many decisions about my wedding that I had yet to make. I started browsing through a Better Homes & Gardens magazine. It was from October 2018 and there was my venue and the owners of the venue, Mario and Daniel! Oh my God – what were the odds of them being in that magazine that Janet brought that I ultimately ending up looking at?”
“Fast forward to March 2020 when the world as we knew it changed forever – Coronavirus. We accepted that due to New York COVID restrictions, we could only have 50 people at our wedding. So, I bet you’re wondering what came true on my vision board? Check out the collage for some of my favorite things to come true. And that saying that Janet uses on her vision board kits is “Let’s Do This.” Well, Brian never actually asked “will you marry me” when he proposed. We had been together 8 years and we already felt married. His final statement as he was one putting the ring on my finger was “let’s do this.”
